As parrots are wild birds, it is a crime to keep parrots in cages under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972 and the Amendment Act 2002. Lets be aware of this. After reaching an understanding, the landlord hands over the parrot to the organization in front of the Forest Department staff. The organization has been making successful efforts to release the parrot in its natural habitat in the amravati district for the last 6 years under the guidance of veterinarians.
